SOMO to Launch $20M Web3 Game Supported by Ex Rockstar Team

SOMO, a Web3 gaming platform, launches its AAA mobile game and token, aiming for global IP recognition.

The SOMO blockchain game team announced their Token Generation Event (TGE) launch for Q1 2025. They also announced the imminent release of the AAA-level mobile game, SOMO Battle Ground, further upgrading their Web3 gaming ecosystem.

A team of over 75 seasoned professionals from industry giants like Rockstar, EA, and Ubisoft developed the rising Web3 gaming landscape’s significant new developments. They secured over $20 million in funding.

However, the team’s extensive experience in AAA game development is palpable in their planned trilogy of games TapTap Tripps, SOMO Duel, and the flagship title, SOMO Battleground, all set to launch within the Abstract Ecosystem.

SOMO Web3 Game Follows TapTap

Positioning itself as the “Pokémon of blockchain,” SOMO aims to cultivate a globally recognized gaming intellectual property (IP). The success of their Telegram-based mini-game, TapTap Tripps, which boasts over 4 million players, demonstrates the inherent appeal of their game mechanics and the potential for widespread adoption.

Moreover, this “zero-cost” entry point effectively serves as a gateway to the broader SOMO ecosystem, attracting a large and engaged player base.

The planned launch of SOMO Duel further strengthens the project’s ecosystem, showcasing a commitment to diverse gameplay experiences. Beyond the digital sphere, SOMO’s strategy includes the development of physical products, including IP-related peripherals and toys, slated for distribution through mainstream retail channels.

Aiming to bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds, maximizing brand visibility and creating a holistic, immersive experience for players.

Central to this ecosystem is the SOMO token, scheduled for its Token Generation Event (TGE) in Q1 2025. This token will serve as the lifeblood of the ecosystem, empowering players and fostering community engagement.

Furthermore, Its functionality extends to governance mechanisms, enabling community participation in shaping the future direction of the project, and facilitating economic activity within the ecosystem. The team will release more detailed information regarding the TGE and the subsequent ecosystem development plans in the near future.
